Members of Canada’s World Championship team will arrive in Nova Scotia this Sunday for the 2009 ICF Canoe Sprint World Championships, August 12 to 16 at the Bell Aliant Racing Centre on Lake Banook in Dartmouth. Friday, May 29th, 2009It was less of a sprint and more of a marathon for photographer Nick Rudnicki and paddlers Thomas Hall, Karen Furneaux, Andrew Russell and Una Louder.
On Feb. 6, 12 hours of photography resulted in just four magical images — one of each athlete — which will become the striking core visuals for the 2009 ICF Canoe Sprint World Championships advertising campaign.
Trampoline interns Joel Martell and Kate Weir were there to capture the excitement in a video that gives you some idea of the energy and artistry that went into these shots. Enjoy.
