hi all!
I am thrilled that the camp was made and followed the first World Women Canoeing, try to make provision that each day more famous and good! the experience of living with the girls and train together was unique! ..
thanks for loaning boats, coaches: Corey, Sarah, Chriss, Jeff really did a great job!
despite the short time we have Mia and I think we paddle well in the name of our country! and we see that in Canada there is much potential … we’ve done a very good job and succeed in the canoe together. We hope women’s canoe becomes official in subsequent events!

It was a pleasure to participate in this! and we’ll see in the next competition!

Hi,

I just wanted to say that the World Canoe Championships was a fantastic event. I was thrilled to be there to watch my daughter, Nicole Haywood, take the gold in the women’s C1 500M race. The women’s canoe events were well represented by Canada and the other countries.

Hi Jill,

Volunteering with Canoe 09 has been wonderful, Thank you! As a volunteer for Canoe 09, I got the chance to meet local, national and international members of the paddling community, engaging residents of HRM and so many others who had an enormous impact on the success of the event. Your constant enthusiasm helped us all.

Thanks are also due to all those individuals who had the vision and energy to bring such an international event to Halifax, Nova Scotia and for making it such an enriching experience.

I have divided loyalties. I started canoein in Hungary, but most of my
racing was in Lachine Canoe Club in Montreal.
It would be wonderfull if these 2 countries could win all the gold!!!
One can dream!

Maria congratulations on your success in Brazil. It is not every day that our athletes take the time to express their thoughts and thanks to the people that got them where they wanted to be. I am a principal of a Dartmouth Junior High School, Eric Graves, and Speak Slovak, Czech and a bit of German. I am already helping the Slovak National Team with accomodations and a few other requests. Being an educator, I have the luxury of having the summer off and have the time to help out in many capacities. I have coached soccer for over 30 years so athletics are part of my life. I will be here anyway so helping out would be something of interest to me.
