Matt Mays will headline Canoe ’09’s ‘Concert on the Lake’ Friday, August 14.
“We’re thrilled to have such an exciting Nova Scotian performer headline the festival,” says Chris Keevill, Chair of Canoe ‘09. “Matt Mays’ music and stage performance is a perfect match for the high energy sport of paddling.”
‘Concert on the Lake’ is just one component of the five-day non-gated festival along Prince Albert Road that will include Opening Ceremonies, daily entertainment, buskers, fireworks, and cultural displays.
The Friday night ‘Concert on the Lake’ will be held on the Nova Scotia Gaming Corporation Support4Sport stage and will also feature Canadian rocker Jon Mullane. Mullane will open the show earlier in the evening.
The 2009 ICF Canoe Sprint World Championships runs August 12-16 and will be the largest international sporting event ever held in Atlantic Canada.
