A media orientation will take place Wednesday, August 12 at 1 p.m. in the Canoe ’09 media centre, 3rd floor, Mic  Mac Amateur Aquatic Club, 192 Prince Albert Rd., Dartmouth.

Guidelines for covering the 2009 ICF Canoe Sprint World Championships will be explained and questions addressed. After the orientation, media will be given a guided tour of the athlete staging area, commonly referred to as the athlete’s village. It’s a beach front park area, with tents for competing countries and is a new approach to try to make the athletes’ experience at the championships as enjoyable as possible.

Media will not be permitted in the athlete staging area during the competition, but may photograph, film and conduct brief interviews during this tour.
