Team Canada - Airport Welcome

Members of Canada’s World Championship team will arrive in Nova Scotia this Sunday for the 2009 ICF Canoe Sprint World Championships, August 12 to 16 at the Bell Aliant Racing Centre on Lake Banook in Dartmouth. CanoeKayak Canada will hold a news conference for the Canadian Team competing at the 2009 ICF World Sprint Canoe Championships on Tuesday August 11 at 1:00 p.m. The World Championships take place in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia from August 12-16, 2009.

- Location: Holiday Inn Harbourview, Dartmouth, Nova Scotia

Tuesday, 28 July 2009. Today the ICF President Jose Perurena and Secretary General Simon Toulson met with the International Va’a Federation’s President Charles Villerierme and his advisor, Mr Marcel Venot in a very friendly and cooperative atmosphere to discuss how the two International Federations could collaborate on mutual projects.

Application to make results instantly available on Smart Phones

The making of an advertising campaign

It was less of a sprint and more of a marathon for photographer Nick Rudnicki and paddlers Thomas Hall, Karen Furneaux, Andrew Russell and Una Louder.

On Feb. 6, 12 hours of photography resulted in just four magical images — one of each athlete — which will become the striking core visuals for the 2009 ICF Canoe Sprint World Championships advertising campaign.

Trampoline interns Joel Martell and Kate Weir were there to capture the excitement in a video that gives you some idea of the energy and artistry that went into these shots. Enjoy.
